Reopening of the Karlstorkino

Dear visitors,
we are very happy that we are finally able to show films again. However, we must - in the interest of everyone's health - fulfill certain duties of care. So please keep to the rules listed below during your visit to our cinema.

This is how a visit to the cinema currently proceeds

Use online presale and pay contactless

Please use our online presale. Until further notice we will pay the advance booking fee for you.

If possible, make reservations by telephone one day in advance, so we can still reach you if the cinema is already fully booked.

Spontaneous visits are still possible. But please understand that there is only a limited number of seats available. The number of our seats have been significantly reduced due to distance regulations.

To minimize contact we ask you to make cashless payments.

Groups of max. 10 persons can sit together (please arrive together). In this case, buy the tickets online or on site in one go, so you can get connected seats. If you are not allowed to sit together, please buy the tickets in separate transactions.

Registration requirement
According to the current Corona regulations, we are obligated to collect and verify your contact details (readability, plausibility, completeness). This way the authorities can trace any contact persons in the event of an infection. You are not obliged to provide your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with your personal data, you will unfortunately not be able to participate in the film event.

You can also fill out the form at home. You can find it here: KTK_Kontaktformular.pdf

Your online-ticket has a corresponding form.

Seat assignment
In order to guarantee the minimum distance, we ask you to respect the allocated space. It may happen that we ask you to move. Depending on the number of individual persons or groups of persons, a different seating arrangement may be necessary to enable all visitors to watch the film.

We have implemented the following protective measures and regulations for you at Karlstorkino

Minimum distance of 1,5m
A minimum distance of 1.5m must be maintained in all our rooms.
Excluded from this measure are persons who live in the same household, are related in a straight line or are siblings. Also, the minimum distance does not apply to life partners.

Every second row is blocked in our cinema hall. Between each person (group) two seats must remain empty.

To protect employees and guests, a separating device was installed in our counter area. There will be no seating area in the foyer. Floor markings illustrate the minimum distance.

Cough and sneeze etiquette
Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or use a tissue (dispose of the tissue quickly afterwards). If you have to cough or sneeze, turn away from others.

Mouth and nose cover
A mouth-nose cover must be worn in our rooms.

According to the latest Corona regulations you have to wear your face mask at your seat in the cinema hall during the screening and in the queue outside of our building.

Forgot your mask? No problem: You can get some from us at cost price.

Applies from the age of 6. This may be waived if it is unreasonable for medical reasons or other compelling reasons.

Hand hygiene
Please pay attention to your hand hygiene. Sufficient liquid soap, paper towels and disinfectant is available. A disinfectant dispenser is located directly in our foyer. You can find more dispensers in the sanitary rooms.

Control of visitor flow
The separation of visitor flow in all areas is very important to ensure compliance with the distance regulations. The inflow will be through the foyer. After the film visitors have to leave the cinema hall through the emergency exits on the side.

The intervals between successive film screenings have been extended to ensure that no previous guests come into contact with the following ones.

Ventilation
We regularly ventilate the cinema hall and the foyer area. During entrance and exit, the doors to the cinema hall remain open. The doors to the sanitary rooms and the outside doors remain open as well, if the weather condition permits it.

The intervals between successive film screenings will be long enough to ensure adequate ventilation and cleaning.

Cleaning and disinfecting
Cleaning intervals have been shortened, especially with regard to surfaces and equipment that are used by many people (including handles, door handles, fittings, handrails, sanitary facilities, toilet lids and bowls). Sufficient detergent and disinfectant is available and provided.

Exclusion from visiting the cinema
We must ask you to refrain from going to the cinema if you have shown any symptoms of a respiratory tract infection in the last 14 days, if you have an elevated temperature or if you have had contact with a person infected with SARS-CoV-2.
